I have sewn or been around sewing most of my life. My grandmother took in sewing and did alterations most of her life, and my mother has always sewn. As a teen and young adult, I sewed most of my clothing and then started doing more craft type things and selling them in local bazaars. I have always taken lots of classes and enjoyed learning new techniques. During a 4-1/2 year period of time living on the East Coast, I started teaching classes and found that I really enjoyed turning others on to sewing. I began making wall hangings, small quilts, and exploring embellishment. I find that there can never be enough glitz, and I love to add dimensional details to my projects. I continue to teach and explore my creative side through creating quilts for Cover to Cover Book Club Quilters.
